“For a lot of high school students, these are the last four years that they will play competetively on a team so when I broke my ankle on the first day of practice, I was devestated. When an athlete gets hurt, the player struggles physically and mentally. Not only is the rehabilitation process annoying, but it often seems pointless. I remember thinking, 'I had all my strength before and I'll never get it back. If only I wasn't running at that time and place; I'd still be the same athlete.' Once I seeked out Adam, he made it clear that I was only going forward from here. What would make me strong was how I would deal with the injury. As depressing as this injury was, he let me know that it would make me tougher in the long run, mentally and physically. We worked every week, and he gave me excersises to do everyday. I trusted him and each day felt like a battle that I could overcome with him by my side. As much as I wanted to give up, he showed me that was not an option. Adam was an incredible mentor and physical therapist. After being on crutches and two surgeries, I was back to being the athlete I was in a year. I believe I would not be that athlete today without his help.”​
